Issues
Communication - If given the opportunity to represent Ward 5, I will always keep an open line of communication with residents and businesses. I will make myself available and have an open door policy to answer questions and address the needs and concerns of those that I represent.
Infrastructure - Having adequate infrastructure is vital to the well being of a community. I will address ALL infrastructure needs in Ward 5 and work to implement a plan of action for improvement. I will work with the administration, council, and county to make sure that infrastructure is maintained, repaired, and replaced when needed. I will also work with our state and federal delegation to secure necessary funding for infrastructure improvements and expansion.
Roads - Ditches - Water - Sewer - Bridges
Economic Development - Smart economic development is a must for any successful municipality. I will work to help grow economic development through identifying existing issues, convening public and private resources, and framing public policy by cutting red tape, becoming more business friendly, and letting everyone know that Gulfport is open for business!
Amenities - Any thriving community should have great amenities. As the second largest city in Mississippi, I believe that we should offer our residents, both old and young, the very best amenities. As your representative, I pledge to make it a goal to maintain and upgrade our current amenities and to work to secure funding to bring new amenities.
Community Pride - If elected I will implement volunteer committees from members of the community to help identify needs in the community that need to be addressed. These volunteers will also help organize community events and clean up days.
Tourism - Tourism is vital to our local economy. As your Ward 5 representative, I will work with industry leaders to continue to grow tourism in Gulfport.
